WHAT IF MY APPLIANCE IS BROKEN RIGHT NOW? CAN I ENROLL IN A PLAN AND GET IT FIXED?
No. All of the items protected by your plan must be in working order prior to the effective date of your plan. You cannot knowingly enroll an inoperable or broken appliance into a plan and have it repaired by CP™.
I HAVE MORE THAN ONE(1) HEATING/COOLING SYSTEM. ARE THEY ALL PROTECTED UNDER MY PLAN?
No. Each CP™ plan protects one (1) of each appliance listed. If you have additional heating/cooling unit(s), you MUST add them to your plan at an additional cost, or specify which unit you would like to protect upon enrollment. If you fail to add the additional unit(s) to your plan and do not designate which system you would like to protect when you enroll, CP™ will protect the unit responsible for heating/cooling the kitchen by default.
WHEN DOES MY PROTECTION START?
If you are purchasing a home, the protection starts as soon as closing has occurred and payment has been received. If protecting your existing home, there is a 30 day wait before you are eligible for repairs or service.
DOES CP™ OFFER PLUMBING PROTECTION?
CP™ offers protection for in-bound water pipes ONLY. The in-bound water pipes are the pressurized pipes that carry fresh, clean water up to and through the home. These pipes deliver water to your faucet, bath, washer, etc. This protection is NOT a full plumbing option. It does NOT include any end-use devices. End-use devices are items located at the end or in between the piping. End-use devices are items such as faucets, toilets, shower heads, and water softeners. The in-bound water pipe protection does not include anything having to do with the discharge of water after it has been used. Accordingly, drainage issues, stoppages, and leaky or dripping faucets are not a part of this protection.
CAN I ENROLL MY RENTAL PROPERTY INTO THE CP™ MONTHLY PROGRAM?
Yes. CP™ is happy to offer protection for rental properties. Please note, however, tenant-occupied properties are subject to an additional $5 per month fee. This fee is in addition to the price of the plan chosen.
DOES CP™ PAY FOR EMERGENCY OVERTIME CHARGES?
Complete Appliance Protection will pay overtime charges only for furnace repairs when there is a risk of water lines freezing. Anytime a customer desires expedited service and is willing to pay the overtime portion of a bill, Complete Appliance Protection will pay the normal labor and part charges.
DOES CP™ PAY FOR ANY SECONDARY DAMAGE CAUSED BY APPLIANCE OR SYSTEM FAILURE?
No. Complete Appliance Protection pays for the repair and maintenance to get the appliance or system back in working order. Any secondary damage to the home or personal possessions is not a part of this program.
WHAT DOES THE HIGH END APPLIANCE OPTION DO FOR ME?
If you have high-end appliances, this option doubles the reimbursement amount towards a replacement appliance. It also earns those appliances increased consideration for expensive repairs.
ARE THERE ANY CONTRACTUAL LIMITS ON REPAIRS?
There are no hard limits on the repair of appliances. We look at the history of the appliance and what the service tech says about the appliance to determine if an item should be repaired or replaced. However, for the septic, in-bound water pipes, and electrical protection there is a $1,000 limit for each system in a twelve month period.
IF I CANCEL MY PLAN, AM I ENTITLED TO A REFUND?
Maybe. Refunds are calculated based on a prorated formula. The prorated amount, less claims paid on the account, and less a $25 processing fee would yield the refund total. If the claims total exceeds the payment total, you would not be entitled to a refund.
WHAT KIND OF ITEMS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THE CP™ PROGRAM?
CP™ does not offer any protection for the following items: anything structural (including roofs), garage doors/openers, garbage disposals, ceiling fans, ductwork, humidifiers, sprinkler systems, spa tubs, or sump pumps.
AM I REQUIRED TO PURCHASE THIS CP™HOME PROTECTION PLAN TO OBTAIN FINANCING?
No, the purchase of the CP™ Home Protection Plan is solely the decision of the buyer or seller of the house.
